Ruth Schloss was born in 1922, Nuremberg, Germany. Immigrated 1937.
Studies: 1938-41 Bezalel, Jerusalem, with Mordecai Ardon; 1946 painting course for Kibbutz Artzi artists with Yochanan Simon and Marcel Janco; 1949-51 Grande Chaumiere, Paris.
In 1947-49 Schloss was the illustrator for “Mishmar Leyeladim” and children’s books of Sifriat Hapoalim.
She joined Kibbutz Merhavia in 1942; later moved to Kibbutz Lehavot Habashan, and lived there until 1953.
Her works are in the collections of Israel Museum, Jerusaelm; Tel Aviv Museum; Haifa Museum of Modern Art; Herzlia Museum, etc.
Lives in Kfar Shmaryahu.
