Haddy Kun was born 1936 un Zagreb, Yugoslavia.
After her parents perished in the Holocaust, Kun was raised by her grandparents in Budapest. It was there that she attended and graduated from the Academy of art.
In 1956, Kun left for Israel, where she married Zaav Kun and furthered her studies with Zvi (Miklos) Adler. Here she developed her unique impressionist style with Cezanne-like influences.
Kun has an extraordinary sense of color, which is discernible in her still-life work with flowers as well as her landscapes.
Her pantings have been described as simple, direct, light filled pieces in which the artist observes and attempts to capture the fileeting movement of light.
She lives and works in Haifa.
